Bubbles and Roses 9” x 12” watercolor wax sealed and mounted on cradleboard by Donna Blodgett. Created as a playful study for her larger-scale work, Never Promised You A Rose Garden, this piece reflects the artist's delight in the glee that bubbles arouse in children, pets, and adults alike. The artwork is directly inspired by Blodgett’s time spent spreading joy at Zilker Botanical Garden, where she can often be found with a bubble wand or a paintbrush in hand.
